Yesterday our certificates expired and we failed to renew them beforehand. . We renewed them as soon as we noticed the mistake - sorry for the inconvenience!

jabber.wien: End of life August 2018

We have decided to stop offering jabber.wien accounts by August 2018 (that's more then a year from now). <.

A few years ago we registered the domain jabber.wien, but it had so few users that we eventually disabled registration again.

Connection issues yesterday

Yesterday our upstream provider had hardware issues between 10 a.m. . and 3 p.m., and we were unavailable as a result.

Stability problems and ejabberd upgrade

In Wednesday (February 8) we had severe stability problems with ejabberd, the software we use for our Jabber/XMPP server. . Today we resorted to rebooting the server and upgrading ejabberd to the newest version (17.01) in the process.

Our homepage has two new useful features we'd like to point out to our users. <.

1. You can now view and remove Files shared via HTTP File Upload (XEP-0363) comfortably in your browser.
