Free Jabber/XMPP server

In Wednesday (February 8) we had severe stability problems with ejabberd, the software we use for our Jabber/XMPP server. Today we resorted to rebooting the server and upgrading ejabberd to the newest version (17.01) in the process. For now it seems the problems are solved, but we're keeping a close eye on this.... read more

We have new TLS certificates for Jabber/XMPP connections. As usual, they are signed by Let's Encrypt. Here are the Serials and Fingerprints for each hostname.... read more

Our homepage has two new useful features we'd like to point out to our users.
- You can now view and remove Files shared via HTTP File Upload (XEP-0363) comfortably in your browser.
- You can now view all current client connections for your account here.

Due multiple unprovoked DDOS attacks, our entire service was offline for almost a week. We are very sorry about such an extended downtime, especially since we take such great care to provide a reliable service to our users. Since Tuesday night, we suffer from network connection issues. We have finally found out the reason for that. Because of a massive DDOS attack on our server our provider was forced to block our IP Address.... read more

As you can probably see, we have a new homepage. The old homepage (based on Drupal 7) was slow and unresponsive and hard to extend with XMPP based functionality. Drupal 7 is an incredibly flexible software allowing you to do almost everything with it - but we only used a minor part of that functionality anyway.... read more
